How to teach a sensor (diffuse sensor with background suppression X0009393)

Diffuse reflection light scanner with background suppression X0009393

Diese Arbeitsanweisung bezieht sich auf den Sensor mit der haprotec Artikelnummer X0009393.

Grundlegendes zur Funktionsweise

• The sensor is taught to the object to be detected and should otherwise look into the void.
• According to the manufactruer, the minimum distance to the object is 10 mm
• According to the manufacturer, the maximum disctance to the object is 300 mm

Teaching the sensor

The sensor is taught to the object to be detected. If this is not possible with the original part, another object (e.g. piece of aluminium) can be stopped manually about 1 cm further away from the sensor than the original. After applying the operating voltage, the teach function of the sensor is active for 5 minutes (blue LED lights up permanently). To return to teach mode after the blue LED goes out, the sensor must be disconnected from the operating voltage and then reconnected.

The taught-in configuration of the sensor is persistent, i.e. it is retained even after the supply voltage is lost.

A metal tool (e.g. screwdriver) is required for teaching, which is placed in the blue illuminated notch on the sensor for operation.

SET AS NORMALLY OPEN CONTACT

Signal active when object is under sensor.

  1. Place the tool on the blue illuminated area for approx. 2s until it flashes (1 Hz). The "qTeach" function of the sensor is now active.
  2. Remove tool and wait briefly (~1s).
  3. Move the object to the appropriate position for teach-in
  4. Briefly touch the sensor with the tool to teach-in the object and remove it again.
  5. After 4s, the "qTeach" mode is exited again and the sensor is ready for use.

SET AS OPENER

Signal active when the sensor detects the reference surface. Same procedure as in 2.1, after step 4 tap the sensor again briefly to invert the signal.
