The inverter displays F08
According to the error list, error code F08 describes a speed monitoring error.
Common causes
-
Unplugged cable to the drive
- Cable on the inverter (black plug on the underside of the device)
- Harting connector on the drive
-
Blocked / jammed / wedged accumulation roller chain
- especially with head drives that have run in the wrong direction during initial commissioning
-
Heavily soiled chain guide profiles
- especially after longer system shutdowns over the weekend / after the holiday period
- Frequent switching on and off of the drive during the process (several times per minute)
Problem solution
-
Check the electrical connection between the inverter and drive
- It is also possible that individual phases within the plug wiring have no electrical connection
- Making the accumulation roller chain operational again (especially with head drives during commissioning, partial disassembly may be necessary)
- Cleaning the chain guide profiles
-
Increase the maximum permitted motor current (parameter 303, see Changing parameters on the inverter)
-
The default setting of parameter 303 is 150% of the motor nameplate current (observe the star triangle!) in relation to the rated output current of the inverter. Example:
- Umrichter-Ausgangsnennstrom IA: 1,0A (fast alle Umrichter entsprechen dieser Baugröße, siehe Umrichter-Typenschild)
- Nominal motor current IN: 0.73A (see rating plate)
- Standard value of parameter 303 for the above combination: In * 100/Ia * 1.5 = 110%
- The parameter should be increased on the motor side in small steps to a maximum of 175% of the rated motor current (* 1.75 instead of * 1.5)
- The parameter can be set to a maximum of 150% of the rated inverter output current
