motor protection switch triggers
Common causes
-
Unplugged cable to the drive
- Harting connector on the drive
-
Blocked / jammed / wedged accumulation roller chain
- especially with head drives that have run in the wrong direction during initial commissioning
- damaged bearings
- blocked chain gears due to foreign objects
-
Heavily soiled chain guide profiles
- especially after longer system shutdowns over the weekend / after the holiday period
Problem solution
-
Check the electrical connection between the inverter and drive
- It is also possible that individual phases within the plug wiring have no electrical connection
- Making the accumulation roller chain operational again (especially
with head drives during commissioning, partial disassembly may be
necessary)
- Cleaning the chain guide profiles
- check / replace the bearings
- check the chain gears for blockages
