Dismantle head drive and remove chain
- Disconnect the motor from the power supply or switch off the system.
- Remove the insert plate from the head drive.
- Remove the cover plates from the head drive. (Bild. 1)
- Remove the counterholder, in most cases this can be pushed backwards after removing the two right-hand screws. (Bild. 2)
- Remove the fastening screws on the drive sprocket.
- It should now be possible to turn the chain by hand.
- Turn the chain until the chain lock (marked red with an O-ring or paint) is positioned between the chain tensioner and the head drive housing. (Bild. 3)
- Remove the protective plate on the chain tensioner. (Bild. 4)
- Release the chain by loosening the spring on the chain tensioner, alternatively the bracket on the profile can be loosened. The position of the bracket must be marked before removal.
- Open the chain lock. (works best with angled needle nose pliers)
- Pull out the chain downwards, making sure that the chain does not twist into each other.
Dismantling the deflector
- Remove the insert plate on the deflection pulley.
- Remove the screws from the mounting brackets. (Bild. 5)
- Remove the screw from the connecting bracket on the deflection pulley.
- The chain guide profiles must be free of grease and dirt after cleaning; this can be achieved both when installed and removed.
- The deflection rollers and the head drives must also be free of grease and dirt after cleaning.
Montage
- Screw the deflection pulley to the mounting brackets.
- Screw the return pulley to the connecting bracket.
- Pull in the chain, starting with the lower guide to make it easier to pull in the chain later using a screwdriver.
- Attach chain lock and mark with red O-ring and paint if necessary.
- Tension the chain by tightening the spring or pulling the bracket on the aluminum profile to the marking.
- Fit the guard plate to the chain tensioner.
- Fit the bolts to the drive sprocket, ensuring that all washers are present.
- Fit the cover plates.
- Fit the insert plates.
- Connect the motor to the power supply or switch on the system.
